IS Freedom Possible?

A friend of mine had posted something about freedom on his blog and after I read it have been thinking a lot about the topic. My response to the post was that freedom is an illusion and upon thinking more about it I have confirmed my thoughts of illusion. In order to be really free a person would have to have no attachments at all. No electricity, no house, no possessions, no family etc. Each little attachment we have chips away at our freedom. I think we humans also have a tendency to impose restrictions to our freedom where there are none. Tell me your thoughts, please, I would love to hear them.

    Nice thoughts here....
    If we take the word freedom literally then it would really means to have no attachment to anything.
    To be able to get and do the things *you really wanna do* is my simple perception about freedom.
